
MEP Quantity Surveyor – Construction (Caribbean)
Job Responsibilities
- Attend site each day and be the main point of contact for either one, or several construction projects (depending on value/schedule)
- Handling the project from first estimate all the way through subcontracts being formalized.
- Preparation of detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility level documentation.
- Preparation of estimate packages that clearly communicates project cost.
- Manage the design review process and contract administration including submittals/RFIs and Variations
- Prepare and update the procurement schedule, coordinate and negotiate with suppliers
- Ensure project is delivered on time and in budget and in accordance with the time/cost quality parameters necessary
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction related studies and or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working for a main contractor on large projects
- Extensive experience of working on live projects and concluding final accounts
- Understanding of the relevance of the construction programme/critical path
- Proficient knowledge of measurement and valuation
- Conceptual budgeting / estimating
Salary 120k USD + Package
