High Voltage Electrician ~ Caribbean
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience working as a High Voltage Electrician.at a Power Plant/ industrial environment.
- The High Voltage Electrician must have previous Power Plant experience.
- Must have hands-on experience working on Cummins and large generators of 11000KVA – 900KW
- The High Voltage Electrician would be responsible for 24/7 emergency on call response with timely solutions for resolution at the Caribbean property.
- The High Voltage Electrician must have knowledge and experience with High Voltage joining and termination of 11KV High Voltage Cables.
- The High Voltage Electrician would ensure the correct maintenance and servicing of the Generator and Switch Gear is scheduled and carried out at the Caribbean property.
- The High Voltage Electrician would ensure the testing of Transformer, Switch Gear oils and the correct maintenance of HV – LV Switch Gear is carried out at the Caribbean property.
- The High Voltahe Electrician must have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Engineering Standards with applicable regulatory codes
- The High Voltage Electrician must have experience of HV Generators, knowledge of Generator control systems. load sharing and Generator AVR.
- The High Voltage Electrician would be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance programing of all electrical equipment at the Caribbean property.
- The High Voltage Electrician must have experience of HV – LV distribution systems with ring main units, HV Protection relays and Testing.
- Knowledge of using High Voltage Test Equipment.
- The High Voltage Electrician would operate various components on the medium and high voltage distribution electrical, system including isolation switches, capacitor banks, transformer, voltage regulations.
- Ensure all necessary HV isolation and repairs are carried out Safely at the Caribbean property.
- Establish a good relationship with local power supply generation, transmission, and distribution departments.
- Need to be Familiar with the (NEC)
- Must have strong communication and reporting skills.
