Head Baker ~Caribbean
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working for 5* Luxury Properties in role or similar.
- The Head Baker would oversee the daily production of all baked goods, ensuring high-quality output that meets or exceeds guest expectations at the Caribbean Resort.
- The Headd Baker would develop and implement recipes, ensuring consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
- The Head Baker would be responsible for leading, training and mentoring a team of bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants at the Caribbean Resort.
- The Head Baker would schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient bakery operations and conduct regular performance reviews.
- The Head Baker would ensure that all baked goods are prepared in accordance with established recipes, specifications, and quality standards at the Caribbean Resort.
- The Head Baker would manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of resources at the Caribbean Resort.
- • Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and usage.
- The Head Baker must ensure that all food preparation areas and bakery equipment comply with health and safety regulations.
- Train staff on food safety standards, cleanliness, and hygiene practices at the Caribbean Resort.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- The Head Baker would work closely with the Executive Chef and other departments to ensure that the bakery’s offerings alignwith the Caribbean Resort’s overall culinary vision.
- Adapt to any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- The Head Baker would collaborate in designing seasonal and event-specific bakery menus at the Caribbean Resort.
- Regularly update and refresh the bakery menu, incorporating guest feedback and current trend.
- Must come from a background working with Resorts adhering to Forbes or LHW standards.
- Must have Caribbean experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills and experience.
- Experience working in a medium to large scale fast paced Resort operations.
