Assistant Mechanical Engineer ~ Caribbean
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer would research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design and application.
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure pertinent equipment and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications for the Caribbean Company.
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software for the Caribbean Company.
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer would assist with the preparation of estimates of tenders for the Caribbean Company.
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer is responsible for efficient and timely project management to include:
• Pre-planning of projects
• Project registration
• Budget costing
• Preparation of project implementation
• Issuance of work packages (labour, material spent, etc,)
• Chart and communication project progress
• Assist in preparation of certificates of payment
• Prepare budget reports (analyze spend vs budgeted)
• Prepare weekly project to do list for GSM
• Inform GSM on project status; to include RAPID update
• Analyze and report project closure with outcome
- Design solutions or systems, such as Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, ventilation, controls, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems while applying knowledge of engineering principles for the Caribbean Company.
- The Assistant Mechanical Engineer may evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctions for the Caribbean Company,
- Must be proficient in MS Project and AutoCad and working knowledge of Computer-Aided Manufacturing systems.
